10-Day Intensive Acting Workshop with Atul Kumar

This 10-day intensive workshop with Atul Kumar, founder of The Company Theatre, is designed for actors who want to deeply explore and strengthen their craft.

The training focuses on building the actor’s core instrument: body, voice, breath, and imagination, through a mix of techniques including mime, clowning, commedia dell’arte, realism, naturalism, and psychophysical practices.

Through theatre games, improvisation, movement work, and ensemble exercises, actors will develop spontaneity, awareness, and stronger connection with fellow performers. The workshop also includes text work and character building, helping actors create truthful and layered performances.

The process will culminate in a Practical Scene Work Shoot, where participants will apply their learning in an on-camera setup.

10 Day Intensive Acting Workshop

Practical Stanislavski through the Lens of Uta Hagen

This 10-day intensive acting workshop led by Saddam Hussain is grounded in the practical, lived application of the Stanislavski System, approached through Uta Hagen’s actor-centered, action-based methodology.

The training moves away from abstract theory and focuses on how an actor actually works in real conditions, during rehearsal, performance, and on camera by transforming psychological understanding into playable, repeatable physical action.

The workshop emphasizes doing over discussing, guiding actors to move beyond intellectual analysis into behavior, intention, and moment-to-moment responsiveness. Actors learn to engage truthfully with given circumstances, objectives, and obstacles, allowing emotion to arise organically as a consequence of action rather than being manufactured.
