Atul Kumar is one of India’s most visionary theatre-makers, whose craft has redefined performance for over three decades. As the founder of The Company Theatre (TCT), Mumbai, he has created iconic works like Piya Behrupiya, Hamlet: The Clown Prince, and Nothing Like Lear, productions that blend humour, music, and experimentation to expand the very language of Indian theatre. His Company Theatre Workspace in Kamshet stands as a sanctuary for collaboration and artistic exploration.
Beyond the stage, his artistry flows into cinema and digital storytelling, with stirring roles in Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), Talvar (2015), The Accidental Prime Minister (2019), Manto (2018), Rangoon (2017), Ujda Chaman (2019), Shiddat (2021), Commando 2 (2017), Guilty (2015), Jungle Cry (2022), Decoupled (2021), Human (2022), Guilty Minds (2022), Trial by Fire (2023), The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha (2023), and Happy Family: Conditions Apply (2023).
